POLYESTER is a sterile non absorbable surgical suture composed of Poly (Ethylen terephthalate). POLYESTER sututres are coated with a thin layer of wax. They are available white or dyed with D&C Green No.6. The dyestuff meets all FDA requirements.
POLYESTER sutures are used for soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, even in ophtalmic, cadiovascular and neurological procedures.
POLYESTER sututres are not absorbed, nor is any significant change in tensile strenght known to occur in vivo.
